The small lift is just above the chalet (approximately 50 meters). You can take this small lift ‘Clos du Pre’ (for about 3 minutes), to ski from there to one of the 2 cabin-lifts, or you can walk to the first or second cabin-lift (approximately 300 and 400 meters), At the end of the day you can ski all the way from the Pic Blanc (3330 meters) to the slope Clos du Pre (1350 meters) en walk 50 meters to the fire place in your chalet.
From Oz en Oisans, two ski areas are accessible: Oz/Vaujany and Alpe d'Huez grand domaine Ski. Two fully linked and integrated areas with opportunities to learn, discover or re-discover the joys of skiing for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and levels. Skiing back to the resort guaranteed by snow canons.
Oz - Vaujany skiing area (1125 m - 2800 m)
Oz/Vaujany skiing area is an ideal area for beginners and intermediate skiers, with pistes totaling 70km. A gentle return to the resort is assured on the Blue “Chevreuils” piste. Great for children, beginners and those with weary legs. Access from the Poutran or Alpette gondolas.
Alpe d’Huez grand domaine Ski (1135 m - 3330 m)
If you like the great outdoors, look no further... Oz en Oisans is the doorway to a vast and varied ski area. With quick and easy access by cable car, come and enjoy 250 km of slopes! The Sarenne is the longest Black run in the world. It starts at Pic Blanc (3330m) and descends via the Gorges de Sarenne (1510m); 16km of pure happiness in a unique and spectacular setting.
Highest vertical drop in the world:
You can ski for a 2205m vertical, ending in Oz, without taking a lift; a dream of the most demanding skiers, it takes about 1h30. First check out the panorama from Pic Blanc at 3330m, where it’s said you can see a 1/5th of France. Then gather your courage for the legendary “Tunnel” Black run before skiing between the rocky outcrops of the “Les Rousses” Red. Glide across the plateau of Alpette and the gentle Blue of “Chalets” before dropping onto the Black “La Fare” and its forested descent to L’Enversin d’Oz at 1125m.
There are 80 lifts, 918 snow canons, 250 km of skiing on 135 ski runs (42 green runs, 37 blue, 39 red and 17 black)
Rental of the chalet includes a free parking place in the parking garage. The area is fantastic, too big for one week. In the village (walking distance) there are shops, bars and restaurants. The Baker of the village delivers fresh bread every day, if desired, on your door doorstep. There is a ski school nearby the chalet and a childcare in the village (about 500 meters).
There are 7 bedrooms with two beds. There are also 2 baby beds and 2 baby chairs. You have 5 bathrooms, 3 toilets at your disposal and a fully equipped kitchen. The living room has a fire place, a flat screen tv, stereo and DVD player.
