Sleep in the village of Val Thorens

Val Thorens is a ski resort in Savoie in France that is popular among Dutch youth and students. In recent years, Val Thorens busy to get rid of the student's image and therefore it is today is very popular with the older skiers. It is the highest ski resort in Europe and is around 2300 meters altitude in the French Alps.

The village is part of the Three Valleys ski area and is in the same valley as Les Menuires, the Belleville valley. Along with Les Menuires, Saint Martin de Belleville, Meribel, Courchevel and La Tania is a form of the largest connected ski areas in the world. The entire area consists of more than 650 kilometers of groomed slopes, allowing both beginners and advanced skiers can go there.

Val Thorens and are a large part of the ski area above the tree line. There are many opportunities for off-piste skiing. There is also a snowboard park including a large half-pipe. It is also built a bowling alley in 2006 so that they can have fun on days with bad weather. For families with small children are several options for childcare and other children's activities. In late April the winter season here is concluded with the so-called "Dutch Week". In the beginning of the season (mid-December) is organized under the other Boarderweek.
