La Tzoumaz is a small, quiet village in the ski resort Les Quatre Vallées and is located at an altitude of 1500 meters. The highest altitude in the ski resort is 3330 meters. The village is equipped with all necessary conveniences. There are restaurants, hotels, chalets, sports shops, a supermarket and other shops. There is also a small ice rink. The name Tzoumaz comes from the verb 'tzoumer' which means to relax. A perfect name for a quiet area without much fuss which is very suitable for families. With 412 kilometers of ski slopes, it is suited for both beginners and advanced. In La Tzoumaz there are also a nursery and two ski schools and some bars and restaurants but the nightlife is not really developed. There are a lot of beautiful chalets and the connection to Les Quatre Vallees and Verbier is excellent.
